For sector-specific categories, applicants must be actively engaged as Paralegals within that field, whether as employees, self-employed professionals or representing businesses.
Our esteemed panel of judges will evaluate entries based on criteria such as outstanding legal skills, client satisfaction, innovation and professional development.
The following categories are open to all participants from any legal sector offering a fair and inclusive opportunity for all:

National Paralegal of the Year Award
The National Paralegal of the Year Award will be awarded to an individual with at least five years’ experience, who can clearly demonstrate how they have performed and exceeded client expectations and has made a significant contributions to their organisation or firm.
This candidate will show exceptional knowledge and skill, along with outstanding leadership qualities.
Community Champion of the Year Award
The NPA Best Community Champion Paralegal Award is bestowed upon an individual who epitomises selflessness and dedication to their community, particularly during challenging times. This prestigious award recognises an individual who has gone above and beyond, dedicating their time and effort to improve the lives of others and make a positive impact within their community.
Best Newcomer/Young Practitioner of the Year Award
This category will recognise an individual who has been working as a Paralegal for less than two years, who may still be undergoing training.
The first steps to entering a Paralegal career are the hardest and this prestigious newcomer award will be awarded to an individual who can show extraordinary achievements and dedication.

Paralegal of the Year – South Award
The NPA Paralegal of the year for the South region will be awarded to an individual who can clearly demonstrate how they have performed and exceeded client expectations and has made a significant contribution to their practice.
The candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience.
Paralegal of the Year – Midlands and North Award
The NPA Paralegal of the year for the Midlands and North regions will be awarded to an individual who can clearly demonstrate how they have performed and exceeded client expectations and has made a significant contribution to their practice.
The candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience.
Paralegal of the Year – Wales Award
The NPA Paralegal of the year for the Wales region will be awarded to an individual who can clearly demonstrate how they have performed and exceeded client expectations and has made a significant contribution to their practice.
The candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience.
Best Family Law Paralegal Award
The NPA Best Family Law Paralegal Award recognises an individual who demonstrates exceptional dedication to their work, clients and the legal profession. The successful recipient will have achieved a high level of experience, knowledge and skill in the field of family law, consistently delivering exceptional service to their clients or employers.
Best Intellectual Property Paralegal Award
The Intellectual Property Paralegal Award recognises an individual who exemplifies extraordinary dedication to their work, clients and the profession as a whole. The recipient of this award will showcase a remarkable level of expertise, experience and skill, consistently delivering exceptional services to their clients or employer.
Best Paralegal Apprentice of the Year Award
The NPA Apprentice of the Year award will be given to an individual who can clearly demonstrate exceptional commitment to their work, their personal development, their clients and the profession.
The successful individual will demonstrate how they are embracing the organisation they work for and contributing to its overall success. Evidence of any success in their duties to date and vision for their development will also be clear.
Best Conveyancing/Real Estate Paralegal Award
This is the second year we’re showcasing the area. The award will be given to an individual who can clearly demonstrate exceptional commitment to their work, clients and to the profession. The successful individual will have gained a high level of experience, knowledge and skills to provide an outstanding service to their clients or employers.
This category is open to both domestic and commercial property transactions.
Best Probate Research Paralegal Award
The NPA for the Best Probate Research Paralegal will honour an individual who has excelled in their research work, showcasing outstanding dedication to their clients and a deep passion for the profession.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated extensive experience, advanced knowledge and exceptional skills, consistently delivering top-tier services to their clients or employer.
Best Will Writing Paralegal Award
The NPA Best Will Writing Paralegal Award celebrates an individual who embodies exceptional dedication to their work, clients and the broader profession. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon the successful candidate who has attained a remarkable level of experience, knowledge and expertise, consistently delivering outstanding service to their clients or employers.
Best Public Sector Paralegal Award
This award will be bestowed on an individual who can clearly demonstrate exceptional commitment to their work, clients and to the profession within public sector.
The successful individual will have gain a high level of sector experience, knowledge and skills enabling them to provide an exceptional service to their clients or employers.
Best In-House Paralegal Award
This award will be bestowed on an individual who can clearly demonstrate exceptional commitment to their work, clients and to the profession within their in-house role.
The successful individual will have gain a high level of sector experience, knowledge and skills enabling them to provide an exceptional service to their clients or employers.
Best Legal Aid Paralegal award
The Best Legal Aid Paralegal award recognised an individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to their clients and the profession within the legal aid sector.
The winning candidate will have exceptional expertise, with a deep knowledge in delivering high-quality legal services, a track record of going above and beyond to support and advocate for clients, particularly those in vulnerable situations. They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to consistently providing accurate and effect legal support, find creative solutions and a commitment to continuous improvement all while making a meaningful different in client' s lives and the wider legal community.
National Paralegal Business of the Year
This award is open to any paralegal business that can clearly demonstrate how they have performed and exceeded client expectations and can prove how they excel as a leading paralegal business.
Best Law Firm – Paralegal Development Award
The NPA Best Law Firm Paralegal Development Award is awarded to a firm who can clearly demonstrate exceptional commitment to the training and development of paralegals.
The successful firm will be able to show that they encourage diversity and inspire personal and professional development of their paralegals, which in turn provides an exceptional customer experience and services to their clients.
Best Legal Profession Supplier Award
For the second year in a row, we will look to award an organisation that provides the sector with technology or other services to improve efficiency of services offered to clients. The successful firm will demonstrate a high level of understanding of the legal sector with clear advantages for the end user.
